THE WORD FROM NICK
Nick and the Dunlop Super Dealer team did a great job moving forward today. A penalty on another driver saw Nick jump up the starting order from 11th to 10th, and from there he was set to charge. Nick had great pace and was able to manage his tyres really well, making moves on those in front with confidence to finish the 120 kilometre race in 7th.
“Qualifying wasn’t the result we wanted but we had made some changes after practice and improved it. I had two laps to make it work and I feel like one more probably could have put us further up the order like we should have been.”
“The Dunlop Super Dealer was quite fast on track today, my pace was good and I was able to do a few lunges on people and move forward a couple of spots around the track so overall I’m happy. The guys in the pits did a really good job today on all cars and my engineer Paul has given me a great car setup.”
“Having 2 Brad Jones Racing cars in the top ten today is a solid result for the team and we’re looking forward to seeing what more we can do tomorrow.”

THE WORD FROM NICK
The Dunlop Super Dealer Commodore was running strong in the top ten in today’s 200kms race, making it as high as 5th. However with less than 15 laps to go, Nick, James Courtney and Garth Tander all came across debris on the circuit which forced them into the pits for tyres. The safety car made its first appearance of the weekend to remove the debris, and the race resumed with 8 laps to go.
With Nick rejoining 26th and a lap down, he didn’t have enough time to gain back the positions he would have liked. However Nick managed to get in front of the cars in front who were also a lap down to claim 24th.
“I’m obviously disappointed for the team today. We had the chance to have The Dunlop Super Dealer and Freightliner Racing Commodore score top ten finishes in both yesterdays and todays’ race and take away a really good points haul.”
“I can’t believe the amount of potential we have, but something out of anyone’s control has caught us out today. The Dunlop team came down straight away and were pretty gutted as well, they’ve had nothing but great feedback about this car and how good it looks all weekend. It would have been awesome for them and all the guys and girls at BJR to get the result I feel we deserved today.”
